I often am asked the same questions through email, which does not bother me at all but I thought if we had a F&Q page maybe it would help you feel more comfortable! Below are some questions straight from my clients:
What time of day do you prefer to do a session?
Ideally, I like to shoot in the evening. There is a gorgeous golden hour right before sunset that is dream lighting. However, having my own two little ones I do understand that not all kids can last that late – especially in the summer months! Morning is my second fav, but you have to promise me you are a morning person to pull off these sessions! After my coffee I am rip-roarin’ to go so beware!
If neither of these work for you, just contact me and we will work out something to fit your needs as well as good lighting for your session.
What is your turn around time?
This can vary, and does. However as a general rule this is how it goes: After your session I will post a ‘sneak peek’ to facebook and/or the blog within 48 hrs. You should expect your online gallery access and password emailed to you within 12 business days of your session. Once you look them over, love them and gather your order we will work through a timeline depending on what your order is. A CD and proofbook will be ready within 8 days of your order, prints and canvases may take longer depending on the prints specified.
How hard will you work to make me look prettier/thinner?
Aww. Though I laughed at this one, I totally get it. I want you to love your images, but that means loving yourself too. Wear something you feel GOOD in. If you aren’t a high heels, updo and tube top kinda girl, don’t wear it to your session! When you feel good, your emotions will shine through and your entire family will feel more comfortable. Sometimes it IS worth splurging on that ‘perfect’ outfit that makes you feel over the moon fabulous. Believe me, if you FEEL good you WILL look good! I have spent a lot of time learning correct posing and positioning to help with this as well. Please don’t be offended if I ask you to tilt your chin ‘this way’ or scoot your bum ‘the other way’ – it’s all in an effort to help you LOVE your images in the end!
